This piece focuses upon the USS Enterprise’s head nurse: Christine Chapel. Nurse Chapel was dedicated to her role as a healer, first and foremost aboard the Enterprise.  She was firm and commanding when she needed to be, but often acted as a softening influence to the more acerbic bedside manner of Dr. McCoy. Christine was a supportive friend to those who needed an ear, and was both intelligent and ambitious, eventually working her way to the title of Doctor in Starfleet. Despite her struggle with unrequited love for Mr. Spock, Nurse Chapel always saw her way to duteous service first.
