This piece dramatically captures Spock as his Vulcan blood burns in the throes of pon farr! Despite all of his years of training, Spock is no longer in control of himself and is forced into a fight to the death with his friend and captain. The inset scene depicts the moment of the captain’s death at the hands of a raging Spock. It is in this moment that the fire in Spock’s blood subsides, and he is devastated by the result before him.
