This Special Edition piece captures the emotional moment when the Enterprise D leaves the Earth Spacedock in the year 2364 to begin her newly commissioned journey. On her way to collect first officer William Riker and host an inspection by Admiral McCoy, this scene hands off the baton from the Original Series to The Next Generation and her crew.
