Tuvok is a deep and complicated character whose story arcs through the original movies all the way forward to Voyager’s journey. Despite his intelligence and logic he is not devoid of the challenge that comes with emotional connection. His acknowledgement of his unease in this struggle is admirable, showing his commitment to the truth and not to an ego-bound desire to appear beyond it all.

Tim Russ is a fan of the Season One “Pure Logic” piece of Leonard Nimoy’s character, Spock. It was his personal request that my approach to his piece reflect the gravitas of that image as well.
